Jen and Tommy’s Wedding at Bill Miller’s Castle

Bill Miller’s Castle in Branford Connecticut is one of the more unique wedding venues in the state.  It looks like an 18th century English manor house complete with king and queen chairs for the bride and groom and an enormous fireplace.  Jen and Tommy were sold as soon as they saw it.  They’re a great couple who like to follow their own stars, jumping out of air planes bring one of those stars.  This was the fifth wedding we’ve done with Tommy’s family or friends and they throw some of the best parties we’ve ever seen.

Erica and Gregor’s Wedding

Erica and Gregor decided to have their ceremony in the Hartford City Hall.  I think of city halls as pretty drab functionary buildings so I didn’t expect much when I went to take a look.  Was I every surprised!  It was a perfect match for the Society Room of Hartford where they held their reception.

Kim and Jared at the Fox Hill Inn

Kim and Jared were married in the beautiful little Christ Church in Redding Connecticut and held their reception at the Fox Hill Inn in Brookfield Connecticut.  I don’t know how many weddings and receptions we’ve done at the Fox Hill but we are alway impressed.  The food and service are always good and the gardens provide a beautiful location for photographs.  We also really appreciate that they only do one wedding at a time so we never have to compete with another photographers and their couples for space.

Kim and Jared are a great couple and had a very special day surrounded by their good friends and family.

Kate and Scott’s Wedding at the Lily Lake Inn

Kate and Scott picked a beautiful day for their wedding at the Lily Lake Inn in Wolcott, CT.  The weather was ideal and the location was perfect.  The Lily Lake Inn has beautiful gardens, and an open area with a lake in the background for an out door ceremony.  Take a look.

Beauty Shoot at the Adam Broderick Salon and Spa

Way back in April I had the opportunity to do a beauty shoot with the folks at the Adam Broderick Salon and Spa in Southbury CT.  It’s only now that I’ve had some time to work on this post, weddings have kept us jumping this year.  Anyway,  Maggie and Kim were great models to work with – comfortable in front of the camera and not afraid to show a little attitude.  But I really think the stars of the evening were Bill, who did everyone’s hair, and Agnes, Tiffany, and Brit who did make-up and style.  They were first rate professionals all the way and a pleasure to work with.  They all made my job easy.  So my hat is off to all of them for giving me one of the easiest photographic evenings I’ve ever had.
